Are Carbs Bad For Weight Loss?

What do you outlaw when you're trying to lose weight?

For lots of women, it's carbs. This makes sense considering the story our society has been telling us for years now that carbs are bad for weight loss. It's not your fault!

But here's the thing, do you LIKE carbs? Would you like to have them back in your life? Because you CAN! And not at the expense of your body goals, either!

Absolute restriction can work when it comes to a heroin or alcohol addiction but not when it comes to losing weight and keeping it off! 99.9% of people simply can't willpower their way to sustainable weight loss (I made that stat up, but I'd bet money on it).

You don't need more willpower. And you don't need to outlaw any particular food. You need a better understanding of nutrition and how to line it up with your lifestyle and your goals. You need long-term, sustainable, and realistic solutions.

EAT CARBS AND LOSE WEIGHT

You don’t HAVE to swap bread for lettuce in order to lose weight. You don’t HAVE to swap pasta for zucchini noodles. You don’t HAVE to swap, well, everything for cauliflower. And you don’t HAVE to eat fruit for dessert. It’s ok to eat cake. You can eat carbs and lose weight. Here’s how you might want to include them:

Reasons you may want to eat the lower-carb options:

1. If you like them

2️. If your calories are low but you’re a VOLUME eater

Reasons you may want to eat the higher-carb options:

1️. If you like them

2️. If you’d rather get your calories in with fewer meals

Personally, I like a pretty even mixture of all those carbs. I am a volume eater, however, when my calories got lower and lower in preparation for the stage, I was relying more and more on those lower-carb options so that I could eat more!

But I also have a few clients who don’t particularly care about food. They’d rather pack all their calories into two meals per day, so the higher-carb alternatives work well for them.

The beauty of flexible dieting is that all foods fit. You just need to know how they fit into the big picture!

I can help with that structured plan. Oh, and you won't have to give up cake either or carbs or any food you don't want to give up.
